What Inspires Me
Before diving into design, I studied Computer Science and Technology at Tongji University. But even then, I often wandered through exhibitions and lectures at the College of Design and Innovation, another school within the university, where I was introduced to everything from Bauhaus principles to Ezio Manzini’s ideas on social innovation.
These words shaped my belief that design and technology aren’t separate—they work together to build up experiences, spark change, and create solutions that are both ethical and impactful.
How I See info Design
For me, information design is more than organizing data—it’s about clarity, equality, and responsibility. Every dataset represents real entities and experiences. When designed thoughtfully, data has the power to amplify overlooked voices and help people make sense of their realities.
I’m particularly passionate about exploring natural ecosystems, urban spaces, and community-driven projects—areas rich with untold stories. Whether it’s uncovering patterns in nature, visualizing city dynamics, or fostering collaboration within communities, I see design as a way to connect people with information that truly matters.
At the heart of my work is a simple but powerful goal: to design for impact. I want to turn raw data into stories that feel personal, relevant, and empowering. Great information design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about making people stop, think, and say, “This is telling my story, and I’ve gained something from it.”
I’m seeking positions in data visualization, design research, and/or software development—including but not limited to roles that allow me to bridge my technical background with my passion for design. If design can help people better understand their world and take action to improve their lives, then I know I’m on the right path. Let’s connect and create something meaningful together!
