Outcome
Course-summary mind map
A poster panel with a labeled eye and brain illustration, four numbered steps, and a fan-shaped diagram annotated with V1, V2, and V4. A poster panel with a brain diagram labeled with what and where pathways, followed by a numbered sequence and a three-step visual thinking flow. A poster panel defining fixation and saccades, with a visual search loop and a diagram of the current fixation point, visited locations, and possible next targets.
Selected panels: visual processing on the left, object recognition in the middle, and visual search on the right.

This was the final project for Visual Cognition: a mind map summarizing the course. I organized course material into diagrams of visual processing, object recognition, and visual search.

I used selected lines from Katy Perry’s Witness as headings, connecting the lyrics to course topics through creative associations. Connector lines in the full poster link those lyrics to the corresponding diagrams. The panels use numbered sequences, branching pathways, and a search loop to show different relationships.

I drew the diagrams, choosing some structures myself and redrawing or adapting others from references. The eye and brain illustration is a stock vector credited below. The poster borrows its palette and layout from Spotify Wrapped.

Reading notes
